Governor, AG press conference on Ceded Lands case

Governor Lingle and the AG held a press conference today spelling out the state's position in the Ceded Lands case. Here's video of the entire event. Lenny Klompus has posted some background on Hawaii Reporter. At bottom, the state argues that the Apology Resolution did not cloud the state's title to the Ceded Lands. (And, as AG Bennett explains, the reason so many states signed on to an amicus brief in support of the state is that many states were granted land in trust in their own admission acts).
